As any business owner knows, marketing is very expensive. It may involve printing and mailing flyers, creating brochures or even placing television and radio ads. A car dealership, for instance, could use the number 1-800-CAR-SALE as it is easy to remember, catchy and relates directly to the nature of the business.

Though the majority of vanity numbers are toll-free, small business owners can also choose local numbers when it is applicable. In short, businesses who offer the public toll-free vanity numbers are three to four times more likely to receive telephone calls than those who do not. Vanity numbers are an inexpensive way to market a business and ensure that consumers remember to call when the time is right.
